Editorial Policy

How Gamesness researches, sources and publishes gaming content.

Our recommendations are meant to be useful, not just monetizable. This page explains how we try to keep it that way.

Independence

A brand cannot pay to be recommended. Affiliate commission never determines which products we feature.

Accuracy

We don't publish invented prices, ratings, specs or availability. Unverified details are marked as such.

Currency

Prices and availability change constantly — product pages show a last-updated date.

Correctability

Every page can be wrong. Every page can be fixed — that's what the correction process below is for.

Independence from advertisers

Gamesness is funded through affiliate commissions — see ourAffiliate Disclosure. That revenue model is kept separate from editorial decisions: product selection, category structure and ranking are not for sale, and no retailer or brand gets preferential placement in exchange for a partnership.

How we source information

Product details come from manufacturer specifications, retailer listings and, where relevant, publicly available benchmark data. We do not fabricate hands-on testing, invented review scores or performance claims we haven't verified. Game guide and setup content is written to be evergreen and educational rather than presented as a first-hand product test unless it explicitly says so.

Legitimate sources only

Game guides only point to official, legitimate installation sources — a game's own launcher, store page or publisher site. We never link to pirated copies, cracks, torrents or DRM bypasses.

Updates & accuracy

Prices and availability change constantly. Product pages show a last-updated date so you can judge how current the information is. If we can't verify a detail, we mark it as unavailable rather than estimate it silently.

Corrections

If you spot an error — a stale price, a wrong spec, a broken link — contact uswith the page and the issue, and we'll review and correct it.
